On October 15, 2015, the Kazakhstan side stated about certain incidents, which had allegedly happened on the border of Turkmenistan, referring to the security situation in Central Asia during a joint briefing of the President of the Russian Federation and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana.
The Turkmen side expresses its extreme incomprehension and
concern for this statement of the Kazakhstan side, which is
irrelevant to the situation on the state border of Turkmenistan.
We also consider it necessary to state that the official position of
Turkmenistan on this issue has been presented on numerous
occasions in the press as well as on various regional and
international platforms.
With reference to the above-mentioned fact, the Turkmen side
expresses its protest and, adhering to traditional brotherly relations between our countries, expresses the hope that the Kazakhstan side will use more relevant information in the future, when assessing the situation in Turkmenistan.
